SAMOS project

The SAMOS project subsidized by the Swiss National Science Foundation officially starts. The project aims at developing surrogate models for stochastic simulators, a class of engineering-oriented computational models whose output is a probability distribution (as opposed to deterministic simulators).
The project runs for 4 years and hosts two PhD students, Xujia Zhu and Nora Lüthen. A post-doctoral researcher will complement the project team in 2019.
