Our PhD students, Katerina Giannoukou and Anderson Pires, recently participated in the 8th and final network-wide event of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie EU project external page GREYDIENT. The event took place in Leuven on September 11-13, and was partially combined with the 10th International Conference on Uncertainty in Structural Dynamics (external page USD2024).

During the event, Anderson and Katerina presented their works, titled “New insights on reliability analysis for stochastic simulators using surrogate models” and “Exploring multi-fidelity noisy data: methods and real-world examples” respectively.

In addition, they had the opportunity to engage with experts from start-ups, discuss potential valorisation opportunities, and explore how their research could impact both academia and industry. They also participated in career development training aimed at strengthening their profiles for future academic and industry roles.

While it is bittersweet that this was the final event, we hope that the collaborations and networks built throughout the project will continue to thrive long after the project's conclusion.
