New paper published in Reliability Engineering & System Safety
M. Moustapha, S. Marelli and B. Sudret published a new paper about active learning for system reliability analysis.
The paper entitled Reliability analysis of arbitrary systems based on active learning and global sensitivity analysis builds upon the master’s thesis of Pietro Parisi. In this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm designed to address general system reliability problems. The proposed scheme introduces a new learning function to select enrichment points, employs a density-based clustering scheme to identify failure domains and Sobol’ sensitivity analysis to select the relevant limit-states to evaluate. Comparative studies demonstrate that this algorithm outperforms existing state-of-the-art methods.
