Jonathan Moran joins the Chair of Risk, Safety and Uncertainty Quantification for a 5-month research stay
Jonathan Moran, a PhD student from the University of Liege in Belgium joins the Chair as a visiting researcher to work on Bayesian neural networks for surrogate modelling.
Jonathan is investigating the efficacy of Bayesian Neural Networks (BNNs) as surrogate models for uncertainty quantification. During his visit, he aims to implement an active learning framework of BNNs to support high-dimensional structural reliability problems with reduced information.
