The HIPERWIND (Highly advanced probabilistic design and enhanced reliability methods for high-value cost-efficient offshore wind energy) project aims at reducing the financial costs of offshore wind energy. This will be achieved through a more precise and efficient quantification of uncertainties, leading to lower material consumption, less unscheduled maintenance, lower design costs and an improved operational strategy for higher energy efficiency.
