New paper published in Reliability Engineering & System Safety

B. Sudret and J. Nagel published a paper combining surrogate models (principal component analysis and polynomial chaos expansions), sensitivity analysis and Bayesian model calibration in the field of urban drainage simulation.

This work results from a collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Aquatic Science and Technology (EAWAG, Dr. J. Rieckermann), who provided the computer simulations from the Storm Water Management Modem (SWMM) as well as the in-situ measures.

This paper illustrates how state-of-the-art uncertainty quantification techniques can be applied in a fully data-driven manner.
