The Hilti-Prize for innovative research was awarded at the annual ETH Day to P.R. Wagner for his Master thesis.

The lectures are part of the 4^th Summer School of the IMPRS Magdeburg for Advanced Methods in Process and System Engineering - Magdenburg (Germany), August 28 - September 1, 2017. 

The Chair co-organizes a mini-symposium on "Surrogate models for uncertainty quantification, reliability and sensitivity analysis" at ICOSSAR 2017.

The Chair obtains an ETH research grant together with Prof. C. Schwab (ETH, D-MATH) on the topic “Efficient Computational Bayesian Inversion for Risk and Uncertainty Quantification in Engineering and the Sciences”.

The lectures are part of CEMRACS 2017 - Marseille (France), July 17- August 25, 2017. 

Emiliano Torre will be presenting a poster titled: Vine copula modelling of high-dimensional input in uncertainty quantification problems.  

The Chair co-organizes three mini-symposia in the 2nd International Conference on Uncertainty Quantification in Computational Sciences and Engineering.

Several chair members participated in the 2nd International Conference on Uncertainty Quantification in Computational Sciences and Engineering (Rhodes island, Greece).

Bruno Sudret becomes a member of the editorial board of Probabilistic Engineering Mechanics.

Christos gave a talk entitled "Dimensionality Reduction and Surrogate Modelling for high-dimensional UQ problems". 

The 11^th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation takes place in Paris (France) on 19-24 March 2017.

Roland Schöbi received his PhD on “Surrogate models for uncertainty quantification in the context of imprecise probability modelling” from ETH Zürich on March 17, 2016. Prof. Bruno Sudret was supervisor of this research.

Joseph Nagel received his PhD on “Bayesian techniques for inverse uncertainty quantification” from ETH Zürich on March 17, 2016. Prof. Bruno Sudret was supervisor of this research.

Moustapha gave a talk entitled "Metamodeling for uncertainty quantification, reliability analysis and optimization" at the workshop days on "Efficiency, metamodels and reduction methods" hosted by the Chair of Applied Dynamics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. 

Bruno Sudret and Stefano Marelli have taught a 20-hour block on Uncertainty Quantification for Engineering and Applied Sciences, including a UQLab tutorial.
