Hasan obtained his master’s degree in civil engineering from Ozyegin University (Istanbul, Turkey), with a thesis titled “Flood Performance and Loss Assessment of Industrial Structures under Flood and Earthquake Actions.”

Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. at the Department of Industrial Innovation at Hazard Mitigation, Structural Dynamics and Control (HMSDC) Group in the University of Trento (Italy). His research focuses on “Innovative Laser and Mechanical Machining Techniques Applied to Advanced Structural Applications.”

From January to July 2025, Hasan joined the Chair of Risk, Safety, and Uncertainty Quantification Group. During this period, he will work on developing a convolutional neural network (CNN) model. The model will utilize data from high-cycle fatigue tests performed on bolted steel joints and corresponding microscope images.
